Here's a vintage Rick that has certainly lost its' value:

But it appears some has shown some interest. All ready a bid.
It actually could be refinished in a solid color after filling the routed humbucker and mounting screw holes.

I would expect that someone will take advantage of the BIN price, sooner than later. The serial # does match up as a '67.

Re: This Ain't Right...
Can he really mean this? He knows enough to date it by the serial number, but doesn't know/care enough to realize that those aren't Rick pickups? Not likely. I think he may have gone a bit too far. At that price he probably didn't need to, and now he's just risking his credibility, and seriously pissing off some unsuspecting buyer. The guitar sounds . . . like a Rick[.] As far as I know, all the electronics and parts are stock.
Re: This Ain't Right...
I'd give it a shot just because I like the humor in the guy's ad...."I had a girlfriend who did that once...."

He doesn't seem to realize that it doesn't have 24 frets either.
But the guitar can be of interest to a non-collector/player who wants humbuckers and 21 frets, or someone who already has a 330 and wants a somewhat different sound.

All in all, not a bad score for someone ~ 950 bonz. Wazzap wid da shipping @ 100 cheeseburgers, though? Late....Goofyfoot.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.
