I wish it were Kenny,

I had that exact same guitar in the 60's and I foolishly sold it after I had owned it for about 12 years. I found that pic on the net. I believe that the 375 FG Rickenbacker in the photo belongs to a forum member. I use it to remind me of how stupid I was to let it go and that if I ever see another one like it then I will move heaven and earth to obtain it.

Kenny, John Williams owned that guitar for a while....it's a '63 375, a smack-down beautiful guitar. He sold it to a guy out in California years ago....

Kenny,

This is a b/w picture of me taken in 1966. It's poor quality but you can clearly see my much loved 375.

Colour was available but we used the much cheaper black and white film. I have a very small amount of Scottish blood in me obviously. 8)

Thanks a lot for drawing the comparison in such a gleeful manner Sheena.

No, the ravages of time were not kind to me...... but you'll certainly get your chance Scotty to find out what gravity, and a slowing metabolism does for you.

Well, in fact, i don't think time was really unkind to you. I'd say, you haven't changed that much. Still easy to recognize.

Thanks and a nice try Sheena,

I figured when I posted that pic I was in for a roasting. Were you laughing your head off as you perpetrated that falsehood? It made me laugh so that would make two of us.

Scotty, I am keeping count of the pot shots. You're a bit of a bugger aren't you? You remind me of a good friend of mine who coincidentally is also a Scot. Every second sentence when he lived here in Canada was a veiled insult of some sort. All in good fun though. But I will get ya when you least suspect its coming!

Edit:

Is that a pic taken in Scotland? I have never seen the sun appear in Scotland, all I have seen is Scotch mist!. By the way you know that despite popular belief otherwise, it was in fact two Scots that invented copper wire. They were arguing over a penny. But we digress.........................

I understand that, with my usual sarcastic attitude to life, compliments from me will probably always be taken as a joke or maybe even worse, but... Image i wasn't laughing this time, Sir, and neither was it a "falsehood"(at least, not intended). Believe it or not.
