Help with registering my Ricks

Post by jetglow1 »

Hey guys,
Long time-no see, I've been out of the loop for quite a while. By the way I love the new look. I was just going to register my two Ricks and I was looking over the ones registered already and I discovered to my horror the someone North Carolina has my guitar, so to speak. what I mean is it shows a March of 1990 4003/s5 mg with my serial#. Now I,m sure it isn't mine because mine I've had for nearly a year now and this other one was just registered on Jan 09, '08. Is there a way to correct this, or do we really have two Ricks with the same serial? I'm just kidding on the latter but seriously how can this be corrected? Any help will be appreciated as I don't want any confusion between these two ricks. I'm quite sure of my serial as I looked three times, both on the guitar and on the guitar store tag on the case with the same serial.

Thanks, shawn

Shawn, you probably purchased that bass from someone who has registered it in the past. Drop an email to Peter (Moderator of this forum), and he'll be able to switch the registration to your name.

Thanks Kris for your input, you were correct about my bass being registered by a previous owner, in this case it was the original dealer. It would seem they may be going through old sales and registering them on Rickresource. They sold my bass in the early nineties. Your advice to contact Peter was sound, he let me update the information in the register. I must say I was somewhat spooked at seeing my bass recently registered when I have had it for nearly a year. Again Kris , thank you.
