Strap lock question

Post by steverok »

Has anyone changed the vintage strap locks on a vintage model to Schaller type strap locks, like on modern RICs? I see that RIC sells a bolt strap lock #05904, like on the modern RICs, which looks like it fits both the tailpiece bracket and the upper horn. Could these be swapped out with the vintage strap locks, or would holes have to be filled or enlarged ? Thanks, Steve-O.

They should be completely compatible with no modifications needed.

As long as you get the RIC strap-lock bolt you are fine. I did so to all my Ricks.

See one example below. :D
