Schematics for 325C58 and 325C64

Post by Rick325man »

I have yet to see schematics for these guitars on the RIC website. Does anyone know if they are available or how one can obtain schematics for these guitars? Thanks!

The schematics for these are virtually identical to standard mono wiring.

A C58 is wired almost the same as a V59, but with the tone pots wired to operate the opposite direction (ala pre-'61 Rics) . All 4 pots in the C58 were 500K linear in the ones I've worked on. Don't ask me why.

Thanks. By opposite direction of the tone pots, I take it that you mean turning them counterclockwise (when facing the guitar) increases the tone, and turning them clockwise reduces the tone?

Is there a .0047 cap in the treble volume circuit on your C58?

Also, are the pickup values on the C58 the same value for all three pickups? ie. around 5.8-6k?

Thanks again for all of your help!

Yes, you have it correct regarding the tone pots Ric325man.

Yes there was a 0.0047uf high pass cap in my 325c58's

No the pickups in c58's don't measure 5.8K. I just measured one now and all 3 pickups are close to 3.7K. This is why they are so low gain.
