Best sound card for vista?

Unfortunately, I upgraded to vista 32 bit and it pretty much crippled my current sound card. What sound card would you recommend that would be compatible with vista 32 bit?

I recommend trashing the PC and buying a Mac.

We bought a 20" iMAc and a Macbook a few weeks ago.

I was going to defect to Mac when my wife's ancient laptop finally turned up its toes. Unfortunately, down here the pricing schedule is just a tad unrealistic - an identical hardware spec name-brand Vista laptop (same chip, memory, disk, wireless system etc) was 50% of the Mac ask.

Needless to say I saved the money for my next Ric purchase.
