Early Byrds Recordings

Post by 37012player »

G'Day all,

From a number of very good posts from Chris (last year I think) I learned that a big part of RM's big 12 string sound came from the RIC being doubled.

I think we also know RM preferred to record his RIC by DI'íng in the control room without an amp in the studio.

Something just occured to me... Did RM play through and amp with the rest of the band for the initial backing track and then overdub a second part by DI'ing? How do you think they did this?

Cheers,

Si..................
