Me: "I've been looking at the Martin 000M online, but I've never seen these 000Xs before. Are they made in Mexico?"
GC Guy: "Well, this one right here is a flat-top, six-string Martin acoustic guitar..."
Me: ????

Me: "Why do you guys keep all of these relic Fenders behind glass? Aren't they supposed to be beat-up?" (JOKING)
GC Employee: "Well, these are pretty expensive guitars...we don't want them to get any scratches or wear or anything." (Totally serious)
Me: "Really?! But they're already scratched and dented up!"
GC Employee: "Yeah, but people who buy these don't want the EXTRA scratches."
...oh no, it's too late!

Reminds me of time I tried to buy a set of Groove Tubes for an AC30 at Guitar Center-
Me: Hi. Do you have a set of tubes for a Vox AC30?
GC: A what?
Me: A Vox AC30.
GC: A Fox?
Me: No, a Vox.
GC: I don't understand.
Me: Never mind...
Reminds me of the time I tried to buy spark plugs for an MG Midget at Pep Boys-
Me: Hi. I'd like a set of spark plugs for my MG Midget.
PB: A what?
Me: An MG Midget.
PB: How do you spell that?
Me: M-G
PB: Is that some kind of garden tractor?
Me: No, it's a car.
PB: Are you sure?

Remembered another that just happened recently:
Me: "I've heard that the new Les Pauls have chambered bodies, could I just hold one and check it out?"
GC: "Sure!" *Hands me a horrifingly-ugly BFG Les Paul*
Me: "Can I try a Standard?"
GC: "Well, you might be into, like, the Classic or something...lemme see, I think we have a Studio here..."
*Walks over to a wall full of Gibson Studios and Standards, hands me an Epiphone*
