Goodbye To An Idle's Icon

Post by Scotty_Guitar »

I'm both happy and sad... they say its suppose to be a boater's 2 happiest moments, when the boat is purchased, and when it is sold. Well, that applies to my Ricky 325/12v64 too. So sorry to let it go, yet being cash strapped as I have been for the last year or so, it is a relief. Too bad I had to let one of my favorite guitars go to get that relief...

One more to go (360v64 JG), and I can actually keep 2 (325v59 JG, and 4003 JG).

Just to be clear, was the pun (idol / idle) intentional?

So, Don,

How do you like it so far? If you want, you can have my avitar photo too.

I just bought the 12 string version! Actually a "C" series...

BTW, feel like posting positive feedback for me? I'd certainly appreciate it!

Scotty: I am sorry to hear that you had to sell your Rickenbacker. You do, however, still have them memories of this instrument and you will be able to give others sage advice when it comes to the sound and playability of this model.

At some point or other we all have to let one thing or another go. While this can be a hardship the good news is that you are still around and able to talk about it.

When you feel up to it, why not write a short piece comparing your 325/12 with a full scale Rickenbacker 12 string.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
