I don't think it will be selling at that price, unless it's listed for enough years to allow inflation to make the fmv price of a used Ric 400X case the listing price.

Are people that stupid to buy a case at that price when they can buy from a local (?) RIC dealer for much cheaper?

Have you ever seen what some boneheads pay for a treble pickup cover?

I could use another RIC bass case, but not THAT badlly!

Wow, traded the bass for crack and now have to get rid of the case. Originally owned by the celebrity who was like in that band, that like, played last year, you know, at that place, where the bands were like, playing last year. Remember dude?

Probably hoping for an overseas sale. Many times that's the case (pun intended) when an item is being sold from the U.S. at an inflated price.
