The Shipping List - Eager Anticipation or Agony?

Post by stringsncords »

Hi All I'm waiting for 2 models that have been on order for several months (360/6FG, and 660/6FG), and I check the shipping list daily, as I'm sure most forumites "in waiting" do. Lately, it's gotten to the point where I almost DON'T feel like checking, because of the rejection factor, like I already KNOW that my guitar(s) haven't shipped, so why bother? The recent website difficulties at RIC certainly haven't helped. I can't even imagine the frustration of someone who's been waiting for YEARS...! I know that patience is a virtue, but is anyone else feeling the pain lately?

I wonder if my experience will be different. I'm waiting on a regular, stock, plain ol' vanilla FG 360/12. It has been thirteen months, one week, and five days. When I checked last night, no 360/12s had been shipped. Maybe that's a good sign that they're starting to crank 'em out.

Personally I stay away from the Shipping List Page. I don't see the point in checking it out. I am, however, paying closer attention to Paul W.'s shipping list. I have almost as many projects with him as I do at RIC. All of his projects are unique with the touch that only Paul can add.

Byt the way Paul, you haven't updated your shipping page in a while. :)

Hello all, I'm brand new to the forum, though I've been lurking for a few weeks. I bought my first Ric, a 330/6 MG, three years ago and have been gigging and recording with it regularly since. About a month ago, I got an itch for a 12-string, and not realizing the backlog problem, figured I'd saunter into a store here in the Philly area and take one home. I got a rude awakening, as they say. But after working the phone lines, I found a store in Baltimore that had ONE 330/12 JG in stock; I put down a deposit and made the 90 minute drive the next day. I've digging it ever since.

Anyway, the point of the post is twofold: I wanted to introduce myself as well as publicly thank my lucky stars that I found my Ric 12 without too much heartache. Unfortunately, I've got the same disease everyone else here has, and I already want another--this time the coveted 660/12. But I'll have to treat the symptoms--visit this forum, read about all things Ric, and of course play my Rics through my new Vox AC 15 every chance I get.

Hi Mark and welcome.

Next time you saunter into a "local" store I would suggest Pick of the Ricks. They are 15 mins away at most over either bridge in NJ. You won't find anything close as far as Ricks are concerned.
