I though Phil might have used a RM 1999 in the early days as well....
Seriously great live band, that few could match in the mid to late 70's. Often overlooked today, but put L&D on, and listen to one of the best live albums ever.

They are another great Irish band. "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak", "The Boys Are Back in Town" and "Bad Reputation", all major hits.
Eric Bell came up with the name after seeing the photo of Eric Clapton reading a "Beano" comic on the front of the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton album. He suggested the name Tin Lizzie, the name of a robot character from another very popular comic at the time called "The Dandy".
The story goes that the name evolved to Thin Lizzy after an advertising mixup on a club marquee. Obviously it stuck.

Indeed sir! Phil was a great songwriter, & the Robertson/Gorham lineup was untouchable!

Thin Lizzy made it pretty big on the Boston airwaves in ~'76. Jalibreak and several other tracks from that LP were on the radio all the time.

great band,one of the guitarists in a band i'm trying out with was noodling around on TBABIT last night,and i worked out the little riff phil did,then realized there are a LOT of chord changes in that song....rather jazzy for a rock anthem...i think we are going to try to do t.l.'s version of dancing in the moonlight,tho...
