Welcome, Patrick. Good first post!

That's a nice FG Steve has, too bad his MG from the GFTO days was stolen. I have his book, does anyone know how to get a copy of this video? Never seen it before.

Steve also played a Rick bass (at least) on his "Turbulence" album. I bought at the time a vhs cassete... I think the track title was "while Rome's burning". And i really can't remember for sure but maybe it was a 5-string.

Pity about the MG, I always wondered why he didn't bring it anymore...

Steve's Ric bass is an October 1974 FG 4001 and he uses it frequently on his solo works, as well as the GTR record with Steve Hackett. He mentions in his book that his 12 string MG 360 was stolen from his home, along with his favorite Strat. Steve prefers the 12 string Steinberger for live work.

A DVD that is available called "Careful with that axe", filmed in the early 90's, gives a great look at Steve at home with his favorite guitars and a nice review of his career up to that point. It may be available from Netflix.
