I feel so, so .....

.... naked .... with only one Rickenbacker. I am  with envy from reading some of these threads!

A solitary 360/12. Ah, but she serves me well... :)

Don't feel so bad - look at it this way, you HAVE a Rickenbacker! My idea was to get one that I'd wanted for decades, then participating here a 4004C showed up at a decent price (thanks JB) and since it had a darker Rick sound I had to try it, then another came along..... you get the idea. If it happens for you two or not is immaterial to your participation and acceptance here, and to your enjoying the fine instrument you have.

I only had one rick when I joined, but soon found another I could afford thanks to the spirit of generosity afforded by members here. Keep your eyes open and you'll soon have another, and another, and another...

Yeah, Jim, but you're doing it very well, considering. I couldn't do it.

Got ya beat, Tony. I had just one (avatar) for 22 years, then bought 3 more after discovering the Ric corporate forum, then this one. Been a good Rickboy lately and haven't gotten another one since the mapleglo 4003S.

Sounds like my story.. had a lone 4000 from 1980 to 2003..then a 4001, then, thanks to advice from RIC corporate forumites, a 660/TP, then a 4001v63, and now (almost) a 5002, winging it's way from the USA.... I'm feeling guilty...

At least all of us on the RRF understand the situation with RIC. Most of my guitar playing friends (all of whom are non-Rick players) just shake their heads, or launch into some sort of monologue beginning with "I don't understand why RIC....." And I'm silently thinking "Yeahyeahyeah, I've heard it all before."

Supposedly, allegedly, I should be getting The Call in a mere 2 months....hopefully. The wait does get wearisome.

I've enjoyed the responses to my lament of owning only a single Rickenbacker. Fact is I do *own* a Rickenbacker and am extremely pleased with just one.....today ;) When others see the beautiful FireGlo finish they ogle all over it. When they hear my Rose, they sit back in awe! When I kick in the JB, well, they are near speechless. They don't get to touch it. 8)

Jim, when your Rickenbacker finally settles herself into the sweet spot of your hands, you will know true bliss. Guaranteed!

My wish list ......
A 450 Combo
A 325
A 620/6
And, the ultimate for me, a 660/12 TP

On the 450 Combo, I'd love to find a rebuilder/project........... I believe there was a 400 single pickup Student model on ebay not too long ago. I wonder if any one here picked up on it?

If I had the chance to get any two Rics, they'd have to be...

1998 PT (my dream Ric and dream guitar, really)
1993/12 RI owned by John Minutalgio (my dream 12-string)

If I was able to get the above, I'd be complete for Rics.

But it would also be fun to own
1997 RM RI
360/12V64
360/12CW
370/12RM
331LS (or a Paul W conversion would make me just as happy :) )
350V63
325V63 (I'd give a short-scale another go if I could)
1996 RM RI
