Hurricane Ike

Post by JakeK »

Oh man! Ike's more than likely on his way! Who's most definitely in his path?

The gas stations here wasted no time in raising the prices by about 30 cents a gallon between my commute to work this morning and the ride home this afternoon. I have to assume that it's because of Ike.

I've got to get home and get ready to hunker down. Most of the supplies that I'll need are already at the house, but there's always needed at the last minute. According to this latest forecast, the center should pass just to the west of my home sometime on Saturday.

It looks like we may just end up with some gusty breezes.

At least it's now down to a category 2 hurricane. Let's hope it doesn't gain strength across the wide expanse of the Gulf.
