New owner and thanks!

Post by toescantalk »

Hi,

I got a Monty Brown 330 this weekend second hand and was having a few issues with it e.g top e string volume, ringing g string etc. Never really had to setup a guitar before, but I searched through the archives on here and read the manual thoroughly to get the confidence to play with the allen key and screwdriver and now it sounds absolutely amazing! Not rocket science I guess to raise the action a bit and lean the pickups.

Anyway, here's some photos of my prized possession that I have been craving for for about 20 years! I'm not sure I've spoken to the wife since I got it.

So thanks again to all the archive posters!

Cheers,

Martin

Welcome, Martin. A fine purchase indeed. Love the MB's. Certainly the 330. I used to have the very same model. Wish I still did.

Martin, welcome.

When the kitchen remodeling is finished she'll be too wound up to notice your new guitar

It's not just the wives; my boyfried gives me that same expression every time he sees me look at a new guitar

Ummmmm.............. what can I say, Stan? :(

If you ever come over to Melbourne it's yours exclusively for the duration.

Even though it doesn't look the same these days here's a small reminder. Front of the class, too!!

Toescantalk.......Welcome aboard the canteen. Dig your monicker, man. Dig your sublime 330/6 MB, too. Props to you on your new acquisition as MBs aren't too readily available these days. Good fortune visited you. There are more than a few knowledgeable folks on this forum to guide you on this journey of discovery. Best regards.......Goofyfoot.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Yep, I was struggling to make my mind up between Jetglo and Fireglo and then saw a picture of my MB for sale online and that was the one!

Cheers,

Martin
