"Produced by accident" — priceless!
Nice song, too.

Wow! Brian I'm blown away! No wonder the ICBM sound is so polished. Nice accident. :)

OMG!

Where on earth did you drag this up from Roy? Thanks, now I have some explaining to do. How did I get myself in this position?

This and the flipside were the first songs that I ever wrote that actually made it on to a record of ours. I was 19 at at the time. It sounds awfully corny to me now, but my band thought it was a "groovy" song in 1968.

The man's a star I tell you!

Cover of Small Faces

Brian will tell us more about this.

Meddys People do Dave Dee, Dozy , Beaky , Mick and Tich and I can honestly say that had they got this out first they would have the hit!

Brian: Nice work and this was certainly a window into your talent of which we are all aware of here.

A great find, Roy.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky , Mick and Tich had no success in States or Canada for that matter, so a few who frequent these forums may not be aware of them at all.

They had quite a lot of hits in UK between 1965 and 1969, 13 top 30 entries including a number 1.

Hideaway was a number 10 hit in 1966 but Meddy's People version is certainly on a par with the hit version, you decide.

You are far too kind Peter. Let's not forget that there were four people in the band and I was just the lead player and only one of three singers. The other guys were very talented and all a bit older and more experienced than I was at the time. I was fortunate to have three friends around me who could play as well as they could.

Thanks to you Dean and also Kris for your kind comments also. Aitch you just want to meet the go go dancers that created that dance step.

Sheena I produced the two songs on that single and I decided that I did not need my name all over the record. "Produced by Accident" was really just a bit of my warped humour surfacing.

Brain,

You've been holding out on us!

That's great!

When can we expect a CD from ICBM?

Put me down for one, autographed by all the band members please!
