Searching for my Rickenbacker

Post by bigou »

I trade this guitar for a Gretsch a couple of years ago and the guy sold it on Ebay. I'm wondering if someone in the forum bought it. It's a 360 all WHITE (even the fretboard) BUT refinish in mapleglow. The fretboard is maple with little black dot ang the hardware is all black. Sorry but I have no pictures.

Calude: We are pleased to be able to show you where your guitar went. This is one of the purposes of the Register.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Claude,

To answer your question, I was the buyer on eBay and after keeping it for awhile, I listed it for sale on this forum and Kent bought it.

Great guitar but it was not my favorite color.

Thanks to Kevin for the heads-up to this thread. As I think I said in some other thread..... I was in a band for about 4 years (in Hawaii - moldy oldies, R&B, blues, invasion, etc etc) and when I finally got the sound I was looking for it consisted (surprise surprise) of a Rick 360 and an older VOX AC15 with blue alnico speaker. The 360 used at the time was a 1985 Fireglo. I thought I was in heaven, but when I bought the Mapleglo refinished Tuxedo from Kevin, the sound was boosted to another level (soooo sweet). All me bandmates said... "Ooooo, use THAT ONE". So I did, and the guitar wound up seeing more than half of the band's 60 or so gigs over the years.

Band went south, I went north (moved to OR), and both guitars now proudly hang on the wall in the "Fletcher hall of Fame"
otherwise known as my office.
