No Moderator?
What's up with that? Has this forum always had no one at the helm?

Re: No Moderator?
You volunterring, Jim?
Re: No Moderator?
Maybe.
I'd like to know what all is involved; time committment, editorial ability, how much knowlege of the subject matter is necessary (historical, discographical, how many McGuinn solos do I need to have down pat...all that stuff). Or is just being a big fan enough?

Re: No Moderator?
Erm, when I applied for the job I wondered the same thing, but Peter described the requirements as follows:
Stimulate conversation, keep the peace, keep 'em coming back for more. Or something like that.
Anyway, if I can do it on my forum (on which topic I am still far from being really in-the-know) you could do it for the Byrds, Jim.
I think enthusiasm is the main requirement. The rest is gravy.

Ooh, now that may be a tough one. You ever notice how many threads I've started, compared to the total number I've merely replied to? The second category far outnumbers the first.Stimulate conversation...

Jim, when in doubt, post pictures.

Or start a poll. Or a quiz.

Re: No Moderator?
Scotty, you got the job because I pointed out to Peter Mc. that we had no moderators from third world countries!

Re: No Moderator?
Hunky? Nope, not me either. Short, a little rotund, lots of gray hair.
Intellegent? Eh--some would debate that point.
Witty? I don't think one should confuse wit with being a smartass. I qualify for the latter.
Well.........I don't know.........Lemme think about it.
