2009 Rics.........

Post by fireglo67 »

I had a really vivid dream last night that the new addition to the Ric line-up next year is going to be a 360WB and that the colour of the year for 2009 is going to be white. (I need to ease up on the red wine!)

A white 360WB with full width inlays, chrome hardware, white scratchplate/TRC and black/white chequered binding..........

I'd put my order in for one now!

Rob: I'm surprised you didn't order on last night.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Howard, you can stay well clear of my dreams mate, they're weird enough already without adding you into the equation.

Ah, that's a nice dream. I've had that one myself about the WB.

It's a bit sad isn't it? Dreaming of guitars all the time.

BTW, I had a nightmare last night, All my Rickenbackers had been replaced in their cases by these 'Rickenbacker' monsters...... :o

Why do people advertise these pieces of s**t as 'Italia Rimini Rickenbackers'?

You've got that right, Rob. It's like they couldn't decide how to get around Rick's design, so they just...

...made it as stupid and ugly as they could.

Does anyone else reading this have an issue with the sound of a 12-string guitar with humbuckers?

no!no! the pickups are not the problem of that guitar "italia" made in korea. it is freatboard. those things have potential but they are ugly and have horrible necks. i can't comprehend why didn't they make their own body design along the lines of some old italian guitars instead of this travesty.

btw. the humbucking on 12 string is ok if you use 1m pot and 0.022 cap, it will get the bright sound back, i have changed one of my 660/12 to ric humbuckings and 1m pots long time ago and it is fine and noiseless - it is good mod.
