First post--want to buy a Ric there is one on eBay

Post by myfloridason »

Can anyone tell me if this is a good price? I own 10 guitars and 6 amps, but want to buy a Ric

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... EF:US:1123

It's a 1996 Turquoise 330/6 for $1,495 is this good?

Any info would be most appreciated. :)

Thanks,

sg

Welcome to the forum Scott. That is about the going rate for a new 330. Turquoise is not a current color though so there is a premium for it. The seller is a member of this forum. I was at my local Rick dealer about a week ago and they have a new 330JG in stock for around $1440. The new ones have adjustable pole pieces on the pickups and a vintage sized headstock.

I think this exact same 330 sold recently to the current seller for under 1200.

It can be seen here.

IMO, you can probably get a used one for under $1300.

Possibly for a JG or FG, but TURQ is a bit harder to find.

If you like it and it plays well, nothing wrong with paying a bit more. But, you're paying for the color.

Have to agree with everyone here. It's not a great price, but not a bad price, either.
