I've been listening to the album since yesterday off the NPR web site.
It's amazing. I think it's his best work since RAM.

The song Nothing Too Much Just Out Of Sight
ROCKS!!
Isn't this the record where they just went in with nothing prepared?
If so, he should do it more often.

Exactly. My understanding is they went in with a blank slate. 13 Days and 13 songs later an album is created. Pure inspiration.

That was the deal: A song every day, nothing specially prepared. 8)

WOW!

It sounds like he's found his muse, a long-lost friend...

Um....... McCartney II Redux :? I hope this is not his only offering for the next few years. As Simer will tell you, I am the biggest McCartney Butt-boy on the planet..... (I liked McCartney II) This record does nothing for me. I've listened to it back to front, and I am not yet impressed. I will give it another spin tomorrow to be fair.

It is a blast of fresh air. Completely infectious. The ghosts of Ram, Wild Life, McCartney wake up to a contemporary embellishment.

 I'm actually going to delay buying it until after I finish my music project for fear of cross-pollenation. No kidding.

Wow, and I can't listen until after work! :?

Some very high praise I'm hearing here...

That song-a-day approach worked wonders for the Wilburys. Anyone ever watched the DVD of them working on those songs?

I was hoping that nasty breakup of his would lead to a revival of his Special Powers.
