Re: trc white paint?
I used a flat white latex interior paint on mine and it worked well. I did not experience any adverse reaction or discoloration. It dries quickly too.

No problem. I trust it works out well for you. I only had two teeny weeny little repairs to make and it worked well for me.

You can't go wrong with latex (acrylic emulsion) paint on a TRC, as it's water-based and contains no aromatic solvents which could damage plexiglass. Some folks have also used Liquid Paper, which dries faster.

I've used Liquid Paper, which worked fine.

Strangely enough, Shari and I were discussing this very thing this evening!

So, how well does latex hold up on plexi? Is this pretty much what they were originally painted with?jingle_jangle wrote:You can't go wrong with latex (acrylic emulsion) paint on a TRC, as it's water-based and contains no aromatic solvents which could damage plexiglass. Well, it's on the back, so there's no wear factor to speak of. Not to mention, using something like hobby enamel will often cause the TRC to stick to the varnish, making removal difficult and possible causing chipping again.cjj wrote:So, how well does latex hold up on plexi? At the factory, these are silkscreened and the white is a catalyzing urethane. It's darned near bulletproof.
