4004 larado wiring help

Post by cheyenne »

I just picked up a 500ohm "blend" pot to replace the selector switch in my 4004 Larado.

Anyone got a schematic for Volume / Blend / Tone?

Here is one possibility.

This is where you can find all kinds of wiring diagrams.

I'll be using 500k pots and blend. This schematic shows 250's with a .05 cap.

I believe the larado has a .47 cap like the 4003's, what should I do in this case. Anyone?

The Laredo has a .047 cap, close enough to the .05 that Fender uses to make no real world difference. Go ahead and use the 500K pots, it doesn't matter regarding the actually wiring scheme.

scott-be sure to post your impressions when you complete your project. i really like the idea of a vol/blend/tone control setup for my cii, IF it doesn't drastically alter the basic sound(s) i'm getting from the stock wiring. (hate to mess with near-perfection,donchaknow) :P

also, knowing ric's propensity for trying out different things on different models,it just occurs to me to ask if the wiring setup is the same on the cii as the laredo? i would think yes,but...... :?
