360 comes alive

Post by jagdeluxe »

I own a 360 and am very happy with it so far.But i just read a review at Harmony-cent. where this guy has been playing for like 40 years and he says the secret that he discovered not long ago is to use a small 10 watt tube amp cranked and use the nobs on the guitar. He says the 360 comes alive ,no comparison. He does,nt use big amps anymore.Any commentson this, the smallest i own is 60 watts.I guess a new amp is on the way.

The way to really make your Rick come alive is to buy a standard guitar cord, remove the plug at one end, replace it with a "line" or "mains" plug, and stand in a bucket of water.

The truth lies somewhere between post #1 and this post.

(DISCLAIMER!!! This was a JOKE. Got that? A JOKE!!!)

Hope that covers the whack jobs.

Cranking a lower wattage amp is common, no whack job involved.

My favorite tone involved cranking a 15W Blues Jr, and using the knobs on my SG to clean it up.

Just because it worked for that guy doesn't mean it'll work for you. In fact, you don't even know if it's working for him.

yea, not big deal ... I just picked up my 360 and "cranked" my little Marshall 10W. The term "poor man's distortion" comes to mind.

I can't wait to try out the new Vox AC4TV combo. I have a Danelectro Pro-1 Reissue that sounds really cool through my AC1, but their both just for fun, really. I've been looking for a good, low watt amp for a while, and have avoided the Epiphone because I didn't want to have to mod it. From what I've read so far, this little Vox, which goes down to 1/4 watt, should sound really good right out of the box, and I can crank away with my 360 or 335.
