Your Top 10 Byrds Songs

Post by jimk »

This has been done quite a lot on the Beatles' Forum. So....what the heck....I'm into stealing ideas. What are your Top 10 Byrds Songs?
Here are mine:
The Obvious
1. MTM
2. TTT
3. 8 Mi. Hi
4. I'll Probably Feel A Whole Lot Better When You're Gone

OK, now that I have that out of the way...
5. The World Turns All Around Her
6. She Don't Care About Time
7. Positively 4th St.
8. You Ain't Goin' Nowhere
9. My Back Pages
10. Sing Me Back Home

OK...have at it.

Reason: ...and one more thing...hard to limit yourself to 10, ain't it?

In no particular order...

1. Mr. Tambourine Man
2. So You Want To Be A Rock-N-Roll Star
3. Feel A Whole Lot Better
4. Lady Friend
5. Tiffany Queen
6. Time Between
7. Drug Store Truck Drivin' Man
8. She Don't Care About Time
9. Chesnut Mare
10. Eight Miles High

All but MTM are Byrd originals! I like many of their Dylan covers but favor their self penned stuff more.
Leave blue green footprints that glow in the dark,
I hope they get home all right.

Nah, I plead insanity. I must've been crazy to limit it to only 10.

To me these two songs really stand out as, well, perfection:

2 One in a Hundred (this does qualify, right?)

also in top10 (in no particular order)

4 If You're Gone
5 It's No Use
6 the inevitable MTM
7 Chimes of Freedom
8 My Back Pages
9 Have You Seen Her Face
10 (See the Sky) About to Rain

Yay! I was hoping someone else would have that one in the top ten!

I'll have to think a bit on this one, although the first five for me are pretty much what's already been stated.
