OK will carry on for a while everyone will get this surely so can judge if interest.
This track was this artist's first single but in reality not the first recording, Joe Meek of Telstar fame had done some recordings but decided this act probably didn't have it, some of those recordings were released once the act had made it.
Very much a group sound on this, although I do not believe the backing group were credited ,though at this stage, the act, though fronted by a name singer were very much a group.
For second single group were ditched, bad for them but proved the right move, the second single went to number 1 and a career started that is still strong

Roy: My guess is in. I am enjoying your new offering. Each one increases my knowledge of the 1950s and 1960s and demands some sleuthing which is great fun. When it comes to our musical brain, we either use it or lose it. Thanks for this cognitive exercise.

And thanks for your support, I get a lot of enjoyment out of setting this, fine line between easy and hard, either can cause lack of interest.
Hopefully some of these tracks will be new.

I'm in, Roy. The others have been a bit tough for my ever shrinking pea brain!!
