4003 Prices Hike

4003 Prices Hike

I'm not going to mention the name of my favourite UK Rickenbacker supplier who is selling these, but what has happened to Rickenbacker bass prices in the UK?

A few months ago £1150 for a 4003 MID/JG , a couple of months ago £1299 for MID/JG, last week £1449 for FG/JG/MG. This week £1549 for FG, what is that about? The exchange rate hasn't changed that fast.

I can't justify paying that price for a standard (even very high standard) bass. :( Yeah I know - suppy and demand, well I feel like I've just lost my demand.

Maybe next year.

Now now my dear friend all is not lost.I predict in 3 months all will be well and the UK prices will mellow.Im sure (well they better cause im wanting my annual ric fix) :D

With current Euro - Pound exchange rate (or even better the rate little time ago almost 1 pound = 1 euro) buying Ricks in the UK suddenly became very popular for Euro paying Europeans. Maybe the dealers just smelled money.
