Greg lake's Modded Ric 4001

There are not many Photos showing Greg lake playing his 4001JG which was heavily modded. Not sure what mods were done to it. Not much info around since he only played the ric for a short time in the early 70's. The photos says 1972 that is the Tarkus album time frame . Does anyone have more info on this? :D

Pete Greenwood nearly bought one of his basses back in '82. Don't think it was this one though...
