A beat up, short little Combo tulip bought for $75 in 1973. That's the one that got me hooked. I could buy one like it for twenty times the price now but it wouldn't be the same. I miss that one.

Coincidentally, I traded a 330AFG just like yours (with Hi-Gains), but was able to get it back; I purchased at 350V63 at Pick of The Ricks, and used my 330AFG as a trade. A few days later, I got a nice paycheck and was able to take the 330 back and do a straight cash deal for the 350V63. My 330AFG was on display for the time it took, but luckily no one bought it; I just got it set up last week, and it plays great and looks amazing. I know that I would be feeling seller's remorse just like you if it had gotten away.

Hopefully, another one will come your way soon.

My first Rick, a '74 4001 MG, still the best one I ever had. I bought it used for $450 sometime around '79 I think. Sold it for $650 in '95, didn't want to, but needed money. At the time, I thought I'd done pretty good on the sale. If only I still had that one...

I've got a picture of it still, just have to figure out how to transfer a slide to digital...

Most 1-hour photo labs should be able to scan that slide and put it on CD for you. If you have trouble with that let me know, I can get it taken care of.

My first guitar: a fireglo 456/12 from September 1967. It stopped making sound so I traded it for a Kay. At the time, I didn't know you could open up guitars and fix them -that didn't even occur to me - so I figured it was dead. But the upside is, I've learned how to fix guitars.

I still kick myself every day. I wish I could get it back.

It would likely be faster to have you do it, the nearest 1-hour photo lab requires an overnight stay in a hotel - it's 400 miles away.

Actually, I've got an attachment that goes on one of my scanners that's supposed to do the job. I just haven't had time to mess with it yet (or even to figure out where the darned thing is). It's planting time on the ol' farm...

Wow (456/12),That is a cool model.
I had to look it up in the Rickenbacker Book because I didn't reccognize that model.
It may have been a rare bird. There were only 17 made in 1968.
