650D makeover: bravo, Pickguardian!

Post by kenf »

I ordered a black Plexi control plate cover for my Dakota from Tony at Pickguardian Thursday - it arrived yesterday, much sooner than expected. Great service!

I installed it this morning, and it really improves the appearance of the Dakota in my opinion. My stock chrome plate always looked like it had been attached by a roving pack of jammy-handed kindergarteners. The black plate looks better with the black TRC, and the stock silver knobs and selector fit in with the rest of the hardware and the chrome TRC logo.

I'll try to get photos posted in the next few days.

Here's a quick one - I want to do full shoots of both my Dakota and my 660/12 out in the yard the next nice day we have.

I'd like to find someone that could do a black chrome pickguard, otherwise - you read my mind! :D

Great combo, the silver/black, I think.

Any chance of those other pictures being posted?

That would be great! I have tried to picture that combo and even goofed around with photo shop to "make" one.

If the one I have coming works out for me then I'd planned to do a black pick guard as well - it's a natural!

That looks really good, congrats.

Tony's a great guy--he's hopefully sending me my replacement Tele Thinline PG in cream pearl.

I do like how the chrome knobs on the black scratchplate mimics the silver on black TRC. I can send the full-sized pic from above to whomever wants it - just PM me your email.

Funny, I'm waiting for a cream pearloid to go on my Fender Mustang.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?
