So who has 12 string trapeze tailpieces in stock?

or is that a dumb question...I've HAD IT with the R tailpiece.

The trapeze is the same for either a 6 or 12. Pick of the Ricks has them for $40. The bracket is another $20.

Huh? There are not 12 string holes for the 12 string?

No, there isn't. Two strings to a hole :D Works fine.

WOW! I had no idea...I just bid and lost on a 12 string trapeze this week on ebay and it had 12 holes.

I never restring my own 12-string Rics...always take it to the local guy (and now) with the strings *I* want. He sets it up for me, no problem.

Does it make any difference which string goes in first..octave or regular string?

I believe it was a vintage item, not sure though...

Oh, if you're buying a Trapeze TP and don't want to redrill, you can buy a TP bracket from Winfield vintage that has the mounting holes in the same place as the mounting bracket for the "R" TP: http://winfieldvintage.com/parts/end-hooks.html

Someone asked about Trapeze TPs yesterday as well, though in their case it was due to a broken "R" TP.
