325C58 controls question

Post by 1OUfan »

Can anyone give me a simple explanation for how the stock 325C58 controls are wired and how they control the different pickup selections? I know that the tone controls are wired backwards so that to turn up the tone, you actually turn the pots counter-clockwise, but the control of the volume for each selector position is what seems a bit puzzling to me.
Anyone?
Thanks---

On all stock RIC 3 pickup guitars, the neck and middle pickups are wired together. So one volume control is for them, the other is for the bridge pickup.

Yes. Can someone please post a schematic for a c58? I'm interested to know how the reverse controls work.

Adam, it would be just like RIC's 4 control, 3 pickup, mono output schematic, except that the two tone control pots would have their end connections reversed.

Kris
I'm really not an electronics expert.
I'm slowly teaching myself how it all works, but how do you reverse the end connections? I recently wired up a guitar and did that by accident. So how do you reverse them in the first place because I'll just do the exact opposite but I'd still like to know.

Switch the two outer wires on the pots.

As Ken said - It's fairly self-explanatory.
