Does anyone have a source for wooden knobs?
I've been on the fence for some time concerning what knobs would look best on my 4004 Laredo. I like the chrome "O" ring Hipshot ones that are currently on it, but you cant believe how heavy they are, and that little bit of extra weight makes a big difference.
I think I'd like to get some walnut or bubinga ones to accentuate the fingerboard and wings, and to give it a little more "boutique" look.
Opinions? Suggestions?

You would need to drill and thread a hole for a set screw, I think.
A generic Yahoo search for "custom wood guitar knobs" gave a lot of hits, including these:

Re: Knob Question
These guys have a nice selection, in maple, bubinga, walnut, rosewood, and ebony. Pretty cheap too. I got my stacked knobs (not wood) from them...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
