A Pic Evolution of a band

Post by Scastles »

Got this collage today. I have been playing with the same three guys since the early '70's, except for a 10 year sabbatical when I was on the move all the time. Here's what nearly 40 years of debauchery and playing together can do for you. The first shot was taken (top) just after we did a show in Arlington, in '74. The others are just random photos from the early '90's and not long ago. (One of them I don't even remember)
I'm at the far left in each photo. The shorter fella in the top photo worked for us at the time.

Odd thing was we couldn't find one shot of us playing where we were all in the same photo. We have so few of them anyway, and we seldom gig these days.

One of my mates summed it up best. " Well, considering what all we've done to ourselves, we probably look better than we deserve."

The photos should come with a warning. Don't let this happen to you!

Stan, that so looks like time and life well spent. :D

Congrats on being together in the band for so long and for having the kind of friends that you can grow old with. Admirable.
