If this were a 12-string, I'd be all over this!

Nice, it's probably clean as heck too (hard to tell from the horrible pictures).

Price is a bit high, not too bad though......the rarest part about it is the case, actually. They only did that mustard color interior for a very short period in the early 70's.

So, the case is not original, right? Knock $500 off?

Nah I think the case is original. Anything guitar related from as early as '68- through the mid 70's had weird inconsistencies. It could have sat unsold for a long time until being shipped out in whatever was the current case. The main Rics I've seen with those cases were very early phase 1 331LS lightshow models. I think I may have a picture somewhere...

As I said, maybe a couple hundred high, given that it's not a dealer, but it looks solid for the money.

I'll agree with this. I know an instance of a '68 360/12 that wasn't sold new until April 1970....it seems that there was available inventory on-hand at the factory. Some left-handed stuff stayed even longer..

Yeah, one of those weird things......Rics sold like they were going out of style in '66-'67 and dropped like a hot rock on New Years '68

I'd say any Ric guitar between '69 and '75 is a rarity itself.

Here's the other case picture I was thinking of-----an early 70's phase 1 Lightshow 331LS model:
