1972 Rickenbacker Original Bass

Post by Dtraynor »

I was given an Original 1972 Rickenbacker Original Bass Guitar from my father Pete Traynor (formly of Traynor Amps). I am thinking about selling this guitar, it is in great shape with a few nicks and scratches but nothing serious. It sounds great. I am a guitar player just not a bass guitar...anyway trying to find out what this may be worth, it does come in the original case!! any ideas?

If it really is a '72 it should be worth around $3000, maybe more depending on color and condition. It sounds like yours is very nice so I'd guess more, but pics will tell for sure.

Surprisingly, many people don't have what they think they have. A '72 serial number will begin with an L and the month code will be A through L.

What color is it?

When you're entering test for a post, look down below the text box. There's a tab for "Upload Attachment". Click that and then browse to your pictures. Then add them. You can put 4 per post, up to 1200x1200 with a max size of 500kb. I think they need to be JPG...

+1

Welcome, Devan! If you have problems posting the pictures, e-mail them to me (e-mail address is in my profile) and I'll gladly post them in this thread for you.

Also, if you haven't done so, you might want to post a note in the Appraisals section.
