Asking about strings

Post by dr-robert »

Hi Everybody
I use to read the posts but my english is not very good, so I never posted before.
I have a new lefty fireglo 4003 (2008 model that I bought at leftyguitars.co.uk) and it comes with a 100 E string. I would like to know if a 105 E string will fit in the nut without making any fix...
Thanks!

Your English is fine!

The standard Rickenbacker string set has a .105 E string so a .105 should fit just fine.
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Welcome to the forum, Eneko!

I agree with CJ's post.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Welcome, Eneko!

A .045-.065-.085-.105 set fits just fine with your new 4003 without the need to widen the nut slots.

Thanks everybody!
If the 105 is the standard 4003 E string, why my 4003 comes with a 100??... anyway, I think I'll change to a 105 beacause I've read about here in the forum and it looks great... Thanks!!
