I love Alan's comment on it taking a lot of energy to put on their show. I guess they need to drink more Redbull or something! Gotta admit they are staring to show their age a bit.

even with the strain and the drain,it seems the guys are still enjoying the heck out of performing. and the live clips sounded great!

so fun to here the interviews, and these cats laughing and talking story

... but that performance of SK sounded simply awful.

it is hard for me to say it, but seeing that portion on stage made me really sad, and it is terrible to see them "going through the motions" like that.
no feeling, no amplitude, no energy
and i apologize to benoit, i'm sure he's a great guy, .. but he's so weak, get him out of the band, .. oliver is only marginally better.

i'm so grateful that i got to see the band all those many years ago, so many times, ten true summers long and more.
you'd have to pay me to sit in the audience for this tour.

Well, boki,

Sorry you didn't get anything out of it, I really am. But you can't please everyone.
I sure did, time and time again...I'm just grateful they are still touring and sharing their talent with us to this day.

There are SO many groups where members have retired or passed away, their live shows only a memory or a Youtube video....I hear RUMOR of an ELP reunion in 2010, but other than YES or IF that ELP thing comes off, I'm done going to live shows but more for health reasons, than anything else. I'm getting too old and I'm a LOT younger than most of YES as we know them today. I can't imagine the rigors of touring, the stresses it must put on their families I can only imagine. They could sit in their home studios, make their recordings and most of their fans would buy them just to hear something new.

My hat off to the guys for doingwhat they were BORN to do. These musicians STILL stun me by their talent and by playing as long as they are able. It was great to be able to share my favorite band with my kids, and them now being old enough to appreciate the musicianship that it takes to pull off what these guys do every night on stage. More ower to them, and as long as they tour, in whatever form or makeup, so long as MUSIC is alive I'll be there.

PS...THANKS MIKE! You made our day! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) What a FEELING, Christmas just arrived early!

All I can say is I had tickets to see them and then the tour got rescheduled due to Mr. Anderson’s medical issues. I couldn’t do the rescheduled show due to previous family commitments, but would have in a heart beat.

I figure even as the songs of whales change over time, so does the sounds of a band. When a new album is released, a lot of time the tunes haven’t matured completely for whatever reason…. And older tunes take on new expression overtime. Nothing wrong with that nor is there anything wrong with getting out and doing the tunes sans a member.

My only hope is that in the future the members of Yes can resolve any real or imagined slights and get back to the business of making some great music.

Hey Tony, I love hearing the relaxed Chris talk and joke. He really does enjoy being a Rock Star, and I Love to hear and see him play.
I'm glad we met and shared the shortened Lightening show at GA. I hope we can do it again next year when they tour the New Music!
Peace

I saw several recent shows and enjoyed them all. Is it still 1976? Nope! Were they still great? Yep! Am I qualified to say that? Yep!

This forum is for discussing Chris Squire and Yes. I prefer to keep it on the positive side of things, i.e., lots of bands I don't care for, so I don't go see them in concert or buy their CD & DVD releases. I see no point in going on forums to post negative opinions. Its just a waste of time. As for YES, they've never been eveyone's cup of tea. Most people don't get them, and Yes fans sort of like that notion. I've been listening since 1972 and I never, ever cared what anyone else thought of them. The same is true today. So to those who have an issue with the curent line-up, stay home, don't go, post negative comments, whatever, just do it in good taste... and don't expect me to join in because that isn't why I come here. Let's keep talking about the music.
