Line-X type cabinet coating

Post by jps »

No, I don't want to spray my 4005WB with it. Hmm, now that I think of it..............

Paul, do you know of someone who does this type of coating in the SF area? There is somebody on another forum looking for this.

How about a Line-X dealer? When we had out newest truck done, they had all sorts of stuff in the office that had been coated, even a doughnut... Really! I asked about it and they said they'd spray it on just about anything...

It really is an amazingly tough coating..

Besides Line-X, there are a number of other bedliner companies, including the original (Rhino), sprinkled all over the Bay Area. Something like 30! So, somebody's going to be convenient if he checks near his home.

Your friend needs to learn how to use Google, methinks...

I've been using Duratex on my hem made cabinets for a while now. I use the roller grade stuff and landscaping jute as a texture material to get a very realistic Vox Tolex style texture. Not very costly per cabinet and takes very little time to do. Can be done in your basement (no fumes). It is a very durable coating that looks a lot like Tolex but is much tougher and very easy to repair (touch up brush). You can get it in roller or spray on versions. I have a 2x12 project coming up in the next month or so. I'll try to post some pics of the Duratex sequence.
