370/12RM

Post by rmoudry »

Ok Folks,

I am going to exhibit my ignorance of the instrument I own. Can anyone tell me the function of the knobs on the 370/12RM? I partticylar the second knob to the rear of the pickguard. It has "stop" positions and I cannot find out what each does. Also, I replaced the battery in the on board compressor, now can anyone tell me how to put it to use. I have always wanted this guitar and found a fantastic one via Craig Witty, now would just like to know how to use it. Will still only get linited use, but I would like full access to the total tonal range when I do.

Thank you very much and I hope this was not too confusing.

The 370/12RM has separate volume controls for each pickup, plus a master volume control. I believe the knob with the stop positions dials in different tone filters as well as switches in the compressor circuit.

You can find a copy of the manual for the 370/12 RM here:

The manual contains an explanation of the various knob settings.

Wow, so you own a Ric 370/12RM, Charles..."Man - I wish I was you!" (quote from intro of the rare 1969 short lived TV series "Then Came Bronson") Anyone remember? :D
