I refuse to place you in the attic of my memory, Lhasa.

In the last dozen years, no one has connected to my soul more than this singer-songwriter. Her music is haunting, evocative, enriching. Born near Woodstock, New York, Lhasa de Sela really made her mark after moving to Montreal a decade ago. Performing songs in Spanish, English, and French, she could captivate any audience with her alluring musical sensibilities. Sadly, Lhasa passed away of cancer New Year's Day at the age of 37. I miss her greatly. Her music continues to resonate inside my cranium.

If you ever get a chance score her albums on CD, I would recommend it. Downloading it from iTunes is okay but having the CD is better.

"La Llarona" (1997)
"The Living Road" (2004)
"Lhasa" (2009)

Best regards.....Goofyfoot.

Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.
