Hey! They DO sound great!
Last night, the latest incarnation of my band got together for practice. One of my buddies (who had always admired my 1997) had picked up a beautiful 360V64 which he brought to practice. Man oh man did it sound GREAT! I'd always been behind my Ricks, treating my bandmates to that wonderful sound (the Rick, not my playing!) but for the first time, I got to experience someone playing a Rick at me LIVE! Now if I can just talk our bassist to use his 4001!

Well, it looks like you and the other guitar player can gang up on him now

Having the same experience down here with my new band.
Our lead guitarist has a 330JG/6 and a 360JG/12 as well as a few other guitars.
Our bass player was using a maton bass for the first few rehearsals, and upon celebrating his 50th
birthday, his wife presented him with a brand new 4003FG.
Of course, with Trotty on drums and myself on my 330JG/6, the Rickenbacker circle is complete!

One of the reasons I enjoy the confluences, is I can sit back and listen to Joey play. The bass tones really don't assemble until farther out, so on stage I never really hear the full tone.

This is my ideal lineup of band equipment. Too bad Rickenbacker doesn't make drumsgregga41 wrote:Having the same experience down here with my new band.

You should hear his latest recorded works. Besides his excellent playing, his Rickenbacker basses have tone to die for.s4001 wrote:One of the reasons I enjoy the confluences, is I can sit back and listen to Joey play.
