I just took a look at their web site to see what the new pricing was like and whether they had any used instruments.
Found this: "We don't have no used instruments at this moment !" ..... which, strictly speaking, with a double negative, is a convoluted, (if poorly constructed,) way of saying they do have used instruments.
My evil mind immediately conjured up a Monty Python type scenario with John Cleese ......
Salesman: "We don't have no used instruments at this moment."
Cleese: "Good. Can you show me your range?"
"No, I am saying we don't have no used instruments."
"Yes, I understand you perfectly, now I would like to see them."
"We.Don't.Have.No.Used.Instruments."
"Exactly." It says so on your website."
"Yes"
"I'm glad we've got that sorted, now can you please show me the instruments."
"But Sir, I am trying to explain to you that we don't have no used instruments"
"Oh, so we're going to start that again, are we? Look here my good man, are you worried whether I can pay? I've got travellers cheques, American Express, or US dollars. I. Just. Want. You. To. Show. Me. Your. Range."
In desperation, the salesman turns and takes a brand new 330 off the wall, strums a couple of chords, drops it on the floor and says, "Here, this one's used. Got a couple of marks on it. yours for a hundred dollars."
"Hmm, well that's good value, but not quite what I had in mind. Can You show me some others?"
With a crazed look on his face, the salesman says, "Certainly sir, they're all the same price today. Choose any one you'd like."
The scene fades to the salesman dragging all his new stock off the wall and putting marks and scratches on it.
Vic ........ (Who is obviously bored and looking for ways to get his number of posts past 30.)
