Yes and Frampton to tour again.

Post by kiramdear »

This just in from the Yes page on facebook:
Yes and Peter Frampton are reuniting for a twenty-five city
national co-headline summer tour, which kicks-off in early June and
runs through the middle of July. The total length of the show
is three hours.
The two performed stadium shows together in 1976, including a show to
more than 100,000 at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. Preliminary dates are now
on the Tour page. More dates and on-sales coming
soon. Jon Anderson is not part of this lineup.

And will Gentle Giant be opening, as they did at Anaheim Stadium in '76? Sadly, I suppose not...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

How about Gryphon, as they did in '74 in Indianapolis? 8)

Frampton puts on a great show! I have not seen Yes with the new lineup but the draw for me would be to hear Chris playing bass in any event. He is unreal.

LOL...WOODSTOCK? I used to do some fishing up in Gilboa County. We would drive past Woodstock back in the day...I'm watching the tour schedule. HOPEFULLY, the will do an INDOOR SHOW in Florida. I'm getting too old to take my family on the road!

love the footnote "jon anderson is not part of this tour" (!) oh well, jonnie is doing a few shows on his own, certainly not a full scale tour, but if you live in new york, boston,or phillie......in april! come back to the west coast, jon!

i can only assume that my post was deleted, because i commented that i wasn't interested in seeing this tour because "jon wasn't going to be there"

what is up with that?
this forum isn't about honesty?
i wasn't overly negative at all, as a matter af fact, i didn't say anything remotely negative.
jon is a key part of yes, and his presence or absence should be a fair topic to discuss in a civil manor.
it's just ridiculous that this would be considered a violation of any terms of use.

i don't understand the motivation behind the delete, and i don't understand why a simple comment like that is deemed delete-worthy.
i also got no message from a moderator about the delete or the reasoning for it.

and doesn't my son bear a striking resemblance to chris?
especially in the last pic ... (minus the diaper bulge)

i think the key is to avoid negativity, and generating depressing discussions that have occurred in the past, around the topic.

i love yes, and always will.

to me jon and chris are the heart of the band, and always will be, and that matters to me.
i also love steve beyond description, and alan and bill, ... i love them all.

but the bottom line, ... is that i am grateful that these cats still tour, in any line-up.
what a gift they've been, and continue to be.
i just live with the hope that they'll get it figured out, and that they'll tour again with jon.
