RIckenbacker 4000 picture thread
We don't see many of them (especially 50s-60s versions) so let's post some pictures!

Re: RIckenbacker 4000 picture thread
Mateusz, I'm moving this topic to the Rickenbacker Basses forum. It should get more participation there. I'll leave it here also for the rest of the day.
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS!

Yes, yes. Even I wouldn't rip the frets off that beauty.
A re-issue of that would move a few units, methinks.

Can we have everything louder than everything else?

and please guy's, let keep this '50's/'60's basses only. there's a cool 4000 from '63 in the picture archives with the new body shape but old headstock design with large post keywinds!

Must be a '72. It has a skunk stripe and neck through.

not at all , jeff ! just don't get to see many 4000 basses from the old days, and we see the mid 70's quite often. athough i quite like seeing the neck thru early '70's versions. had never seen them until joining this site. just like my fretless thread on '50's/'60's 4000/4001 basses...haven't got a bite yet !
here's the '63 from the register. old headstock/new body style. neat two tone that continues up the horn. large post keys and look at the back of the head...completely filled up with fender bass style plates !

Beauties indeed. As a fretless player, I certainly don't mind seeing them. Cheers!
Man, I love my Ric!
