Paramount importance of rhythmic & percussion in guitar 1

Post by rubendiaz »

Here is lesson 1 on “Buleria” (playing- jokingly)
-for advanced level-,based on the Paco De Lucia’s techniques and style, hence in order to learn properly how to accompany the flamenco singer or ¨Cante¨ (as well as to play buleria in general), one has to first learn the rhythmic structure while playing with muted strings
(an innovation by Paco de Lucia) that is called ¨tapado¨ and is the basis of all the flamenco cotemporary stuff, once a player learns that, which include how to play the ¨remate¨ or end of phrase etc, then one can proceed to learn the chords and harmonies, and after that comes the melodies on guitar called ¨falsetas¨ (as opposed to learning first chords or melodies like in other styles of music.)
