I would love to see it in person, but I'm boycotting the R&RHOF&M until they admit Rush. I really can't believe how many "artists" have made it in, and how many deserving bands have been glaringly omitted.

Nuts. It can't all be three chord rock n' roll among the inductees. The Beatles are in and they use seven chorods alone just on I Wanna Hold Your Hand; that's practically prog right there! ;)

It looks like the second version, unless the original has been modified. I will copy the photo and post it later, so long as Kira does not count it against my countdown to.......................

BTW, it will be on display all year, anybody up for a confluence?

VVV In that case, the pic goes in this post!

I was just in Cleveland for a night and wanted to stop in....and the hours are 10-5:30 according to their website. Is this right? The ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME CLOSES at 5:30????

Yeah, you're absolutely right about that, Steve...the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME should be open 'til 2 am, full of Camel cigarette smoke, with a two-drink minimum and an embarrassing hand stamp that won't wash off for days...and it should feature exposed plumbing and electrical conduit painted black to match the walls, a sparkly 'popcorn' textured seven-foot-high ceiling, and wall-to-wall red shag carpeting that smells like rancid, week-old Budweiser...

It just blows my mind that the oldest prog rock band that started out with the most obscure sounding music got in before all of the other ones...excluding Pink Floyd of course. This just proves the people who vote on this stuff are a bunch of elitist snobs. It's okay if a prog rock band's music gets watered down till it's something more palatable for the masses, but not okay if it remains true to it's roots. The R&R HOF is really just a bunch of failed musicians anyway voting on people who's stuff they think they could probably play if they had to. Don't even get me started on that pompous Joey Ramone looking wannabe from Rolling Stone Magazine who seems to turn up on all those Behind the Music shows as the self proclaimed expert on all things rock&roll. Okay, rant over.....
