This song came up several times on the "Anything But Rap" thread. Here, Joe Meek meets Los Straitjackets. Several years ago at a Los Straitjackets show, they announced this song as a "work in progress". About half-way through, I turned to my wife and said, "Holy s**t-that's the song from Titanic"! I couldn't stop laughing. Imagine my shock when it appeared in this "polished" form on their next album. Later, I saw them do it on "Conan O'Brien" and they nailed it. Now it's one of my favorites to play and audiences love it.

Love me some Los Straitjackets! I saw them in '97 in Alanta and they did the whole Ventures "Telstar" album for an encore! Their Christmas album gets heavy rotation at our house every year. Fun stuff!
