This is the tune I wanted on RRFCD3, but cooler, better heads prevailed, and I yield thankfully to the artistic tastes of Peter and Mark.....but this is my Jangle Anthem........a total of 3 tracks of my 360-12, one acoustic Gibson, a Mex Strat, my ' 64 P-Bass and that confounded Zoom drum kit -----I NOW have a REAL drum set
Hi, I liked the song very much; both the tune and the sentiment expressed. I think the playing and singing sounded fine, but in my head, I kept hoping for a more polished, "produced" mix. The recording (not the song) sounded a bit too raw to me. I'm not sure if it's a limitation of the equipment you are using. The harmonies reminded me of the Eagles, both in the way they were voiced and in the blend that you got. You've got a good voice for a song like this.
My advice would be to spend some time reading about the art and science of mixing and to listen to songs that you think are mixed perfectly. And then, try to mix your tunes the same way. These are only my honest opinions, designed to help. My goal is to learn how to mix/master even half as well as Mark Walker. See if he weighs in on this or send him a PM. He might have some helpful suggestions for you. Keep 'em coming, Gee. I really identified with this one.

Your comments are most welcome--thanks! I have the original Cakewalk Guitar Tracks program on a 1995 Gateway compooter, and I have a Tascam 488 Portastudio mixing board, and very little time for tweaking mixes. The on board Cakewalk effects and EQ are very good. This song is actually more than 10 years old.......I may get the archived file and do a re-mix---thanks for the comments!
